Investigating neutron transfer in the <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mmultiscripts><mml:mi>Be</mml:mi><mml:mprescripts /><mml:none /><mml:mn>9</mml:mn></mml:mmultiscripts><mml:mo>+</mml:mo><mml:mmultiscripts><mml:mi>Au</mml:mi><mml:mprescripts /><mml:none /><mml:mn>197</mml:mn></mml:mmultiscripts></mml:mrow></mml:math> system

In this work $\textit{n}$-transfer and incomplete fusion cross sections for $^{9}$Be + $^{197}$Au system are reported over a wide energy range, E$_{c.m.}$ $\approx$ 29-45 MeV. The experiment was carried out using activation technique off-line gamma counting. transfer process is found to be the dominant mode as compared all other reaction channels. Detailed coupled channel (CRC) calculations have been performed stripping pickup sections. measured 1$\textit{n}$-stripping explained with CRC by including ground state 2$^{+}$ resonance (E = 3.03 MeV) of $^{8}$Be. 1$\textit{n}$-pickup, only $^{10}$Be agree reasonably well sections, while it overpredicts data at subbarrier energies. For better insight into role projectile structure in process, comprehensive analysis has various weakly bound projectiles on target nucleus. scaled square total radius interacting nuclei show expected Q-value dependence stable projectiles.
